Kindle Games and Apps for Early June

Here are some new releases for your Kindle e-readers that have come out in the first half of June:

Gem Quest is a new match three game and competition for Jewels and Gem Falls.  It already has two five-star reviews and is given very good kudos.  If you like matching games, give this one a try.  Selling for $1.99 and available on all Kindles with Active Content, including Kindle Touch.

Pool is a new concept for the Kindle with 8-Ball and 9-Ball pool games on your e-reader. One five-star review so far rates it highly.  If you got your dad a kindle for Father’s Day – this would be a good app to suggest he try.  Available for $2.99 on all Kindles with Active Content, including Kindle Touch.  I might give this app a try myself – the idea of pool on my Kindle is very intriguing.

Premier Baseball Scorecard is another great app for the dad’s using Kindles.  This is an interactive score keeping tool and another new concept for the Kindles.  I think the normal price of $4.99 is really extremely high for an app like this, but it is on sale until tomorrow (6/20/2012) at $0.99 and at that price would be worth grabbing up and giving it a try. It has gotten three five-star reviews already, so appears to be well done.  Only available on Kindle, Kindle Keyboard and Kindle Touch.

Fling It! is a puzzle game for Kindle with 120 levels.  Not sure how it really works – but at $0.99 it is available on all Kindles with Active Content, including Kindle Touch.  According to the developers statement: The goal of the game is to remove balls from the board until there is just one left. Balls are removed by flinging them – either horizontally or vertically. You can fling a ball only towards another ball. However, you can’t fling the ball directly off the board or towards a ball right next to it. You must also watch out for walls or one-way signs which block your movement.

Young Sherlock is an interactive fiction app for mystery lovers. Available for $1.99 and works on all Kindles with Active Content.
