Flip It! is a Kindle Game to exercise your brain.

Here’s what Flip It looks like -

It has a simple premise – You have a grid of squares that can be white or black. You have to make all the squares white to win.

You do this by ‘flipping’ squares. The twist is that when you flip a square, the squares around it flip too. In particular, the squares above, below, to the left, and to the right also switch color.

There are 40 levels of varying difficulty. You have to finish all the levels before a particular level to be able to access that level.

A Few Hints for Flip It

There’s a hard way to do each level, and an easy way to do each level. Some things that help -

1. Think in patterns and use symmetry.
2. Flip squares at the corners if you want to affect less other squares.
3. Look for easy solutions rather than hard ones.

Using the corners is necessary in almost every level.

In the higher up levels (beyond Level 8) symmetry becomes very important.

40 Levels of Flip It

Flip It has 40 levels. The first few are very easy. Then things start getting tougher.

75% of the First 20 levels can be finished in 10 or less flips. Some of them might take a long time – You can always press Menu and choose ‘Reset Level’ to start over.
